“Social Circus” is a teaching-learning process of circus skills that aims to promote the inclusion of the vulnerable population of Ecuador and the social development of their community. In a pedagogical proposal such as this, the participants will achieve stimulation for their creativity and social skills. Moreover, participants improve and develop cooperation, solidarity, effort, perseverance, communication, self-esteem, and participation based on techniques like trapeze, acrobatics, juggling, balances, and a final show or exhibition.
Through a Social Circus methodology and pedagogy, Active Life and “Colectivo 5 Up” will share circus arts and provide leisure and entertainment opportunities to the vulnerable population of Ecuador as a process of reintegration, and thus offer tools to act against any form of abandonment, vulnerability, and social exclusion.
